Golden Grove Primary School's Innovative Modular Facilities

Golden Grove Primary School embarked on a visionary project, collaborating with Brown Falconer Architects to revolutionise their learning spaces. Ausco, as the chosen builder, played a pivotal role in transforming this vision into reality. The project aimed to introduce modern methods of construction to enhance the educational environment.

The scope of the project included the construction of modular facilities that comprised a Resource Centre, offices, breakout spaces, two (2) new Special Learning Areas (SLAs), withdrawal rooms, and associated external works. This innovative design aimed to create a dynamic and conducive learning environment for students.

The success of this project was made possible through the seamless collaboration of key stakeholders:

  • Sensum – Managing Contractor: Overseeing the project's management, Sensum ensured a coordinated approach to meet project milestones.
  • Brown Falconer Architects: The visionary architects behind the project, shaping a modern and functional design that aligned with educational needs.
  • Aurecon – Services Consultant: Contributing expertise in services consulting to ensure efficient and sustainable facilities.
  • Ausco – Builder: Playing a crucial role in bringing the architectural vision to life through precision in modular construction.

Ausco utilised advanced modular construction methods to deliver swift and efficient results. The modular facilities were crafted off-site, ensuring quality control and minimizing on-site disruptions. This approach not only accelerated the construction timeline but also contributed to sustainability goals.

The completion of Golden Grove Primary School's modern facilities marks a significant milestone in leveraging modern methods of construction for educational spaces. The new Resource Centre, SLAs, and breakout spaces provide students with an inspiring environment conducive to learning and collaboration.

The success of this project demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative efforts and modern construction techniques. Golden Grove Primary School now boasts state-of-the-art facilities, enhancing the overall learning experience for students. This case serves as a testament to the positive impact that innovative construction methods can have on educational infrastructure.
