Ausco delivers fast, flexible and reliable buildings to devastated school - fully operational in only three weeks.
Established in 1966, Yarra Valley Grammar School has a proud tradition of offering students the best possible learning opportunities and experiences under the guidance of exceptional teachers, and today, educates more than 1,100 students each year.
Set on 29 magnificent hectares, Yarra Valley Grammar’s outstanding learning environment is enhanced by state-of-the-art grounds, facilities and buildings.
Just one day prior to the start of the 2012 school year, the school fell victim to a significant fire, with more than $1 million worth of damage caused to science laboratories, photography studios and staff offices.
The school year was delayed by one week, and Ausco Modular was engaged to provide a temporary solution to the school, ensuring Yarra Valley Grammar was able to resume teaching in functional education facilities.
As expected, the client’s major concern was how soon Ausco Modular would be able to mobilise and install a fleet of classrooms.
Within one week, Ausco Modular had delivered 26 educational floors, and the site was fully completed within just three weeks.
Similarly, Yarra Valley Grammar were keen to ensure that no facility quality be lost, and that students would continue to receive the high quality education synonymous with the school.
The floors were used to replicate the destroyed science laboratories, as well as general classrooms and staff offices, showcasing Ausco Modular’s ability to complete projects rapidly as well as provide buildings for a range of uses.
Furthermore, the client was extremely satisfied with the overall quality of the temporary solutions, since referring a number of other businesses to Ausco Modular.
The temporary site will be used extensively by staff and students until early 2014, when the redevelopment of the original buildings is due for completion.
