150 person kitchen facility for Queensland Gas Company at Kenya, 4 hours north-west of Brisbane
Queensland Gas Company (QGC) is a leading coal seam gas explorer and producer, focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.
Providing three full meals a day for 150 people, QGC required a commercial kitchen with all the mod cons at one of it’s operations in the Surat Basin.
Ausco Modular’s Brisbane facility had just manufactured new 12.0m x 34.0m kitchen and dining complex which suited QGC’s requirements and was available immediately.
The complex consisted of 11 modules comprised of all the areas, facilities and equipment required to run a commercial kitchen. The design also had the capability to cater for more people as the project grew.
The building included comfortable dining area, full cold storage, efficient food preparation areas, servery and commercial grade equipment. The kitchen was fully operational from connection of services, with chefs able to bake bread or cook and serve a hot buffet on the first day.
The design incorporated an ice room and loading bay for easy access to dry store, while the entry featured an undercover wooden deck, as well as safety rails.
Ausco Modular provided a full ‘turn-key’ solution including design, site preparation, transport and project management. The client arranged installation and added disability ramp access.
The QGC Kenya kitchen was delivered ready for use, with all the equipment required to run a commercial kitchen.
The swift delivery of the quality kitchen resulted in further contracts with QGC.
