Central Coast Grammar School
Ausco Modular designed, built and constructed a new modular study and recreation facility for Central Coast Grammar School, in the NSW suburb of Erina Heights. A primary and secondary college with a growing student population, it was important to create a large but flexible space.
Ausco Modular’s experienced design team worked closely with the school to understand their requirements. The need for an adaptable working environment to meet the growing student expectations was paramount to the design. Modular was ideal: the options were affordable the construction was flexible, fast and less interruptive to the school population.
The building is a 288 square metre room with the flexibility to be used as a recreation room, study room, computer lab and exam room. The external finishes of the building appear to have the look and feel of a permanent structure. From the verandah to the external wall design, incorporating a use of Zincalume as a feature. The Zincalume horizontally wraps the middle of the buildings perimeter creating a banding effect on the wall.
