Ausco Modular wins prestigious award for design and innovation

Ausco Modular, one of Australia's largest providers of modular infrastructure, has been honoured by the nation's hire and rental industry, receiving a special award for Innovation and Design in Portable Buildings.

  

The award, presented by the Hire & Rental Industry Association (HRIA) at its Annual Convention, signifies a leading industry standard for modular buildings.

Ausco Modular boosts accommodation resources in Central Queensland

Ausco Modular has just completed the expansion of the Ensham Resource Village near Emerald in Central Queensland, signalling the end of a large 12-month project to add considerable accommodation resources to the Ensham Coal Mine.


Completed in three stages over the 12-month period, Ausco Modular was contracted to design, supply and construct the accommodation village and mine office facilities.


During the first stage of the project, Ausco Modular supplied and installed 80 hire rooms, completing the install in December 2010.

Ausco Modular to take the stage when "fly-in, fly-out" inquiry comes to Queensland

Ausco Modular, one of Australia’s largest suppliers of modular accommodation to the mining sector, is scheduled to participate in the public hearings for the Standing Committee on Regional Australia’s inquiry into the ‘fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) and ‘drive-in, drive-out’ (DIDO) workforce practices in regional Australia.

 

Ausco Modular submitted its recommendation to the inquiry in October 2011 and has been asked to present at the Brisbane public hearing, when the inquiry comes to Queensland, 21st – 24th February.

 

Ausco Modular wins supply deal for South Australia’s largest construction project

Ausco Modular, one of Australia’s leading manufacturers of modular infrastructure, has won the contract to supply construction facilities for the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, one of South Australia’s largest construction projects.

 

Ausco Modular’s General Manager Southern Region Rob Wormald said winning the new Royal Adelaide Hospital contract demonstrated Ausco Modular’s extensive supply capabilities.

 

Christchurch juries to trial Portacoms

Jury trials will return to Christchurch next year and will be held in transportable buildings specially set out for the job.

 

The existing court houses are still not safe following the February 22 earthquake and the Ministry of Justice has not been able to find any other suitable buildings to hold trials in, Minister for Courts Georgina te Heuheu says.

Ausco Modular was chosen ahead of import rivals to build a $24 million accommodation village for one of Australia’s leading iron ore producers.

 

The accommodation village, based in Central Pilbara in Western Australia, will be constructed using Ausco Modular’s trademark baseframe and building specifications and delivered by January 2012.

 

The 540 room village comprises of 180 floors and includes all facilities associated to the accommodation units including modern en suite bathrooms, TV’s, air conditioning and spacious living areas.
