Christchurch juries to trial Portacoms

Jury trials will return to Christchurch next year and will be held in transportable buildings specially set out for the job.

 

The existing court houses are still not safe following the February 22 earthquake and the Ministry of Justice has not been able to find any other suitable buildings to hold trials in, Minister for Courts Georgina te Heuheu says.

Ausco Modular’s Karratha branch is raising much needed funds for a young Karratha local off the back of its recent KDCCI Business After Hours event.

 

Ausco Modular, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Karratha, is raising money to replace Richard Dunn’s old manual wheel chair with a brand new electronic wheel chair worth $10,000.

Ausco Modular was chosen ahead of import rivals to build a $24 million accommodation village for one of Australia's leading iron ore producers.

 

The accommodation village, based in Central Pilbara in Western Australia, will be constructed using Ausco Modular's trademark baseframe and building specifications and delivered by January 2012.

 

The 540 room village comprises of 180 floors and includes all facilities associated to the accommodation units including modern en suite bathrooms, TV's, air conditioning and spacious living areas.

Ausco Modular, one of Australia's largest modular construction companies, has secured the contract to supply Rio Tinto's Argyle Diamond Mine with emergency staff housing, crediting market insight in increasing existing capacity as the driving forces behind its success.

 

With an urgent requirement of 200 staff living quarters needed, Ausco Modular exceeded time requirements by using existing stock to meet the rushed demand.
