Bamaga is benefiting from a pipeline of construction and maintenance works with several projects recently completed or set to start in the near future.
Housing and Public Works Minister Mick de Brenni said the recent works on police accommodation and social housing projects combined with upcoming maintenance projects would support up to 40 jobs.
“The $1.4 million police accommodation project was completed by Ausco Modular Pty Ltd and supported approximately 24 jobs,” Mr de Brenni said.
“This project delivers on the government’s objective to assist regional and remote communities by increasing workforce participation,stimulating economic
growth and delivering new infrastructure.”
